  • About Danu Herbalist

My name is Sarah, I'm a herbalist and the founder of Danu. Inspired by the wild coastlines, wildlife, and flora of County Kerry, my products incorporate Irish plants, such as Gorse, Comfrey and Bladderwrack, tapping into their healing and health properties.

The name of my business was inspired by Danu – the mother goddess of the Tuatha Dé Danann who was associated with land and water. I like to think that we all have a little of Danu flowing in our veins!

  • Commitment to a better planet

Sustainability is at the heart of what I do. I make every effort to use locally sourced ingredients, choosing recyclable packaging wherever I can. All products are cruelty-free, and most are vegan-friendly (with the exception of the beeswax that I use in Airmid).

I believe strongly in supporting local businesses and encourage the shop-local principle, supporting our local communities.

  • Workshops and Events

I will be running pop-up herbal medicine workshops throughout the year, drawing on the Celtic calendar and our rich traditions. These hands-on sessions will explore seasonal plants and remedies, guiding you through the creation of salves, oil blends, and other herbal preparations. You'll gain the skills to build your own herbal first-aid kit while deepening your connection to nature.

Workshops will be announced on my instagram page and by email, so keep an eye out for updates.
